# Initiative tracker

Keep the turn order at the table: who acts next, how many hit points everyone has left and who is under which condition. It works for any game that takes turns in order and saves itself in your browser.

## How to use it

Add each combatant with a name and an initiative score; **Roll d20 + tiebreak** fills the score in for you. The list sorts itself from highest to lowest. Press **Start round 1**, then **Next turn** as each one finishes; the round counter goes up when play returns to the top.

Ties are settled by the **tiebreak** number, higher first; many groups use a Dexterity-style bonus there. If two are still level, use the up and down arrows to settle it your way. Change anyone's initiative at any time and the order re-sorts without losing the current turn.

For hit points, type an amount and press **Damage** or **Heal**. Anyone at 0 or below is struck through but stays in the list. The notes box holds conditions, durations or anything else you need to remember.

## Questions

**Where is my encounter saved?**

In this browser's local storage, on this device only. It is never uploaded. Close the tab and it will be there next time; Clear everyone removes it.

**Can someone join in the middle of a round?**

Yes. Add them with their initiative and they slot into place. The current turn doesn't move, so they act when play reaches their spot, this round or the next.

**What happens if I remove whoever's turn it is?**

The turn passes to the next in order, just as if they had finished. If they were last in the round, play wraps to the top and the round counter goes up.
