# Privacy

Short version: the tools work on your device, and what you type stays there.

## What the tools do with your input

Every calculation, the initiative list and the turn timer run in your browser. Dice expressions, card counts, names, hit points and scores are never sent to a server. The site makes no network requests of its own once a page has loaded, and it has no accounts, adverts or trackers.

## What is stored on your device

Two things are kept in your browser's local storage, and only there:

- your colour theme, if you pick Light or Dark instead of Auto;
- the initiative tracker's list, so it is still there next time. **Clear everyone** on that page removes it.

Clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes both. The site does not use cookies.

## Shared links

**Copy link** on the dice calculator and the point buy calculator puts your roll or scores after the # in the address. Browsers don't send that part to the web server, and when you open such a link the page reads it and then clears it from the address bar.

## Page view counts

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking. It never receives what you type, paste or choose in the tools. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles the connection when your browser loads a page, as every web host does.

Links to other websites, including the recommended services, open those sites under their own privacy policies.
